Many of my co-workers didn't like my managers but the reality was that they didn't like their own jobs. My managers were always persistent, they do everything in their power to keep shop-rite in order based on the handbook. Day by day I start to realize that there are people in this world that are actually hunger, and giving a dollar at the most will most definitely help out a lot, this indeed started me up to giving to the needy. When shop-rite was sponsoring a "Feed the Hunger" campaign. What I learned most about that job is the importance of giving. Usually after work I feel very tired, most of the holidays we work overtime but that does't stop me from continuing the same pace I been doing for a long time. I really do not pay any mind towards mean customers I just continue to do my job the way how I signed off to before I started working there. Usually when Im working there some the times Im encountered by mean customers and mostly nice. Working at shop-rite is an ok place to work at. I lived in walking distance and it was extremely convenient for me to get back and forth. Every week the schedule is different and the hours fluctuate. He will work with you if you cannot work on a certain day. The manager is very easy going and understandable. Their is a break room upstairs so you cant go there for lunch or just sit and relax on your 15 minute break. You only get a lunch if you work a 8 hour shift. If I remember correctly, we would get a 15 minute break after 4 hours. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I got along with everyone and its usually busy so the day goes by pretty fast. We all replenish shelves and work together. the day shifts is a little busy on certain days and the cleaning is not to hard in between customers. They works train you and show you how to clean the way they do and to cut the orders the way your suppose to. The hardest part of the job, I would have to say is cleaning and closing at night. they accommodated me when I started working a full time job and switched me to the morning shift. As long as your consistent, punctual and a team player, the job is not hard at all. I got along well with all my co workers and management.
